AI & Deepfakes (Synthetic Media)

The "StopNCII" Limitation

CRITICAL WARNING: StopNCII.org does NOT work for AI-generated images (deepfakes). It only works for real photos because it relies on the exact digital "hash" of a file. Do not rely on StopNCII if the image is fake.

Google's Deepfake Removal Form

Google has a specific, dedicated form for removing fake explicit images of you from their search results.

Microsoft Bing's Deepfake Form

Direct Link: Report a Concern to Bing

Select the option "A nonconsensual intimate image of me or someone else appears in Bing search results" and check the box indicating it is synthetic/AI-generated.

Social Media Reporting

Platforms like Instagram, Reddit, and TikTok treat deepfakes the exact same as real NCII. Use the standard Social Media Platforms reporting links above, but in the template explicitly mention: "This is Non-Consensual Synthetic Media (a deepfake) generated without my consent, which violates the NCII policy."

Search Engines

Google Search

Important: This only removes the link from search results, not from the original website. You must report it to the website first.

Direct Link: Google's Personal Information Removal Tool

Follow the on-screen instructions. They have a specific category for "doxxing and explicit personal images."

Microsoft Bing

Bing also has a dedicated form for reporting non-consensual imagery found in its search results.

Direct Link: Report a Concern to Bing

Select the option "A nonconsensual intimate image of me or someone else appears in Bing search results" and follow the steps.

DuckDuckGo, Yahoo, etc.

Most other search engines (like DuckDuckGo and Yahoo) are powered by Bing's and Google's search indexes. By successfully removing the content from Bing and Google, it will typically be removed from these other search engines automatically over time.

Global Proactive Tools

StopNCII.org

This is a critical proactive tool. It stops images from being spread on partner platforms *before* they appear.

How it works: You select the images/videos on your own device. The tool creates a unique hash (a digital fingerprint) without uploading your actual file. This hash is shared with partner companies (like Meta, TikTok, etc.) so they can block any future attempts to upload that content.
